COVID-19: How you can help

Global Relief Organization

In these unprecedented times of worry for our loved ones and so many across the globe, we have received multiple inquiries from concerned citizens as to what they can do to help combat the global pandemic.

In response to these inquiries, BBF has set up a fund to enable those interested in doing so, to donate to the COVID-19 response. Your contributions will be used in one of two ways:

The first is to assist with the acquisition and shipment of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to our partners. This includes working closely with local government agencies, healthcare providers and front-line responders. In the greater Pittsburgh region, these efforts focus on local hospitals and include community clinics serving the underprivileged and often homeless or otherwise in need, members of society.

The second area of assistance is to help provide funding for research focused on finding a vaccine for COVID-19. BBF began with Dr. Robert Hingson vaccinating at risk populations around the world. Our medical director today is a researcher in the infectious disease area. Being able to assist in such research will contribute to worldwide efforts to prevent further infection or find a cure.

There will undoubtedly be many challenges to come for some time ahead, but BBF remains optimistic that with our spirit intact, together we can forge ahead and overcome these challenges.
Brother’s Brother Foundation is an international charity serving 149 countries, providing over four billion dollars worth of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, educational materials, and other humanitarian equipment to people around the world.

BBF Helping The Bahamas

Hurricane Dorian, is now one of the most powerful hurricanes ever recorded which has devastated the Bahamas, leaving tens of thousands of homes and businesses destroyed. Relief Aid experts say there will be immediate emergency needs before the long journey of rebuilding begins. It’s no secret that communities need food, water, medical care, clothing, and shelter because of this natural disaster. At Brother’s Brother Foundation we realize there’s so much more that’s lost, and that’s needed in this crisis, that’s why Brother’s Brother Foundation is partnering with several organizations in the Bahamas in the wake of Hurricane Dorian to do what we can to help our friends of the Bahamas.

One of our partners working with us is Puerto Rico Rises. This grassroots network facilitated the generous gifts of thousands being delivered to those impacted by Hurricane Maria in 2017. As Hurricane Dorian moved over the Caribbean last weekend, those recipients are choosing to help others in that same spirit. BBF and Puerto Rico Rises are facilitating the donations of thousands of relief items from Puerto Ricans to the Bahamians affected this summer. We know this is a long-term effort. After Hurricane Floyd, Abaco Island took many years to rebuild, so BBF and our partners are committed to getting the islands and its residents back to normal. Your donation to BBF will help turn the tide in supporting all efforts and preparing to rebuild.
