Assessing The Needs Following Cyclone Idai

In Blog, Press Releases by Brother's Brother Foundation

Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) is currently assessing the needs created by Cyclone Idai to respond appropriately. With longstanding partners in all three affected nations (Mozambique, Zimbabwe, & Malawi) BBF is uniquely positioned to navigate this challenging situation. While telecommunications remain unstable throughout the affected area, BBF has been able to make contact with partners in both Zimbabwe and Malawi. Many of the facilities have sustained damage and the situation is straining resources. Flooding from the Cyclone is expected to continue for several days. Brother’s Brother will be working with medical facilities in all three nations as they rebuild following the storm. Potential partnerships with relief medical teams are also being assessed.
