Responding In The Philippines To Typhoon Phanfone

In Press Releases by Brother's Brother Foundation

Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF), a 61-year-old Pittsburgh-based international aid agency, is coordinating with partners including the Philippino American Medical Society(PAMS) and Bisaya among others in the Philippines in the wake of Typhoon Phanfone’s transit through the region. Typhoon Phanfone (Ursula) continues to impact the islands of Southeast Asia. Infrastructure and communications capacity have been severely compromised making gaining a full picture of the damage difficult. Needs assessments are currently being staged across the region and BBF is in communication with partners.

Typhoon Phanfone’s path is substantially similar to that of Hurricane Haiyan which impacted the region in November of 2013. BBF has been working with partners in the region since.
