In January, BBF’s Med-Surg program supported Victorious Living Ministries on their medical service trip to Urraco, Honduras, providing medicines that addressed critical healthcare needs in the community. The team delivered medical care, vision care, public health education, and training for local health professionals, including medical students who assisted with the clinics. Over the course of their trip, they treated more than 755 patients across all age groups, including 225 children under 18, 258 adults aged 19–59, and 272 seniors aged 60 and older.

BBF supplied the group with medicines, including antibiotics, steroids, and treatments for migraines, enabling them to meet the needs of their patients. Unused medicines from the clinics were donated to a local doctor who assisted the team and will continue using them to care for indigent patients in her community.

BBF’s Med-Surg program supports physician-led teams traveling to underserved regions around the world. Through partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, BBF provides short-dated medications, ensuring they are safely delivered to communities that need them most.
