As the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine worsens and images of terrorized communities, torn and displaced families, and mounting loss of life flash across our screens, Eden Hall Foundation has joined Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF), Highmark/AHN, the Pittsburgh Technology Council (PTC), Giant Eagle, and a multitude of generous corporate and individual donors to help provide relief supplies for those in the line of fire in Ukraine, and to over 1.5 million refugees in despair – driven to take shelter in Poland and Romania.

Eden Hall’s grant will immediately support BBF’s airlifting of Highmark/AHN’s critical donation of over 72 pallets of life sustaining pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and equipment, to Ukraine via Warsaw and/or Bucharest. This shipment will also include Giant Eagle’s timely offer of medical supplies to be followed by humanitarian donations as needed. BBF has supported mobile medical clinics and medical teams in Ukraine and is preparing to send relief items such as hygiene kits, blankets, and medical supplies, to assist those in need in Ukraine and to refugees at the borders of Poland and Romania. We are also exploring in-country partnerships to ensure that these refugees have access to basic necessities such as food, clothing and shelter.

BBF and PTC’s initial $250,000 Ukrainian Relief target has now been surpassed with Eden Hall and Highmark/AHN’s foundational grants and your generous support – but please know that this is only the beginning of our relief efforts. In addition to the calamity in Ukraine itself, the 1.5 million refugee count in Poland and Romania is growing. Your continued support is critical to providing assistance to those suffering through this crisis.

100% of funds received for BBF’s response will be used to support emergency relief and logistics. Credit card donations can be made at www.brothersbrother.org by clicking on DONATIONS and choosing Ukraine Relief in the dropdown menu on the donations page. Checks should be made payable to Brother’s Brother Foundation and sent to the address below. Please note Ukraine Relief in the memo field.
