Grant Supports Solar Power Installation at School in Zambia
Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) has provided a grant to support the installation of a 10-panel solar power system at Daltorio School, located in the rural community of Simoonga Village in Zambia. The project will bring reliable, sustainable electricity to a school that serves underprivileged children from surrounding village and remote areas.
Daltorio School is dedicated to providing access to quality education from preschool through secondary school. Established in the heart of a rural community, the school focuses on increasing literacy levels and expanding educational opportunities for children who would otherwise face significant barriers to access. Its mission centers on the belief that education strengthens communities by empowering individuals to contribute positively to their villages, cities, and countries.
The BBF-supported solar installation will provide clean, renewable energy to the school, improving daily learning conditions through consistent lighting and basic electrical access. In addition to strengthening educational infrastructure, the project supports environmentally responsible development by reducing reliance on nonrenewable energy sources and promoting sustainable, green energy solutions.
This solar system will play a critical role in improving the school’s learning environment while supporting long-term sustainability for the community.
