Despite its small size, El Salvador has a high population density, particularly in and around the city capital of San Salvador. However, in the country’s remote villages where healthcare resources are scarce, families must choose whether to spend valuable resources on healthcare at a private clinic or to forgo treatment altogether.
A shipment from Brother’s Brother Foundation distributed 12 pallets of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals to 12 healthcare facilities throughout El Salvador. Three of the pallets supplied The Comandos de Salvamento, a humanitarian organization that works on-the-ground in El Salvador, with PPE, antibiotics, mobility aids, and hand sanitizer to operate a medical clinic in the community of San Niclas Lempa. The supplies provided by BBF treated 352 patients who would have otherwise struggled to find care.
