Pittsburgh Responds To Hurricane Eta

Press Release Image (2)

Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) is sending assistance and relief supplies to those affected by Hurricane Eta in the United States, Honduras, and Guatemala.

In Florida, BBF will be assisting the Harry Chapin Food Bank in Fort Myers and Naples, and the St. Matthew’s House in Naples, to provide needed supplies for families affected by Eta. Both these South-West Florida organizations were in the hurricane’s path and are working to serve their communities after being forced to temporarily close their doors. BBF is continuing to evaluate the situation on the ground and will provide additional relief supplies as appropriate.

Hurricane Eta struck Honduras and Guatemala as a Category 4 Hurricane, prior to making landfall in the US. BBF responded to the hurricane by shipping relief supplies including safety equipment and medicines to the Municipality of Pimienta, Honduras. These items will be distributed to the affected communities by Dr. Raul Ugarte who has been an ongoing partner. BBF is also collaborating with Cross Catholic Outreach and is sending a shipment of medicine, supplies, and equipment to assist communities in the affected areas in Central Guatemala.

With 29 named storms, 2020 is already the most active hurricane season on record. BBF is committed to continuing our responses to assist those impacted by disasters both here at home and around the world.

100% of funds received for BBF’s response to disasters will be used to support emergency relief and logistics to the affected areas. Your donations and support are greatly appreciated. Credit card donations can be made at www.brothersbrother.org. Checks should be made payable to Brother’s Brother Foundation and sent to the address below.

Please note US Disaster Relief and/or Int’l Disaster Relief as desired, in the memo field. Thank you!
