Pittsburgh Responds To Hurricane Ida

Press Release Image (2)

North-Side Pittsburgh based Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) is working in collaboration with the Giving Hope NOLA Food Pantry and Second Harvest Food Bank in New Orleans to provide immediate assistance to community members impacted by Hurricane IDA. Both food banks are first responders and are providing food assistance to the hurricane affected region. BBF will also support shipments of food from local Pittsburgh food banks if and as requested by the Feeding America network.

In addition to providing support for food banks, BBF will be sending relief supplies for those affected by Hurricane Ida. These include PPE for first responders, such as face masks, exam gloves, hand-sanitizer, and hard hats, along with needed medical supplies and cleaning products.

100% of funds received for BBF’s response to Hurricane Ida will be used to support emergency relief and logistics to the affected areas. Your donations and support are greatly appreciated. Credit card donations can be made on our website here. Checks should be made payable to Brother’s Brother Foundation and sent to the address below. Please note U.S. Disaster Relief in the memo field.
