Ukraine Neurology
There are approximately 250,000 people living with epilepsy in Ukraine, 40,000 of those are under 15 years old. During the war, many lost access to therapeutic medications, which can have life threatening complications.
Brother’s Brother Foundation has been supplying critical medications to treat epilepsy and other neurological conditions to children and adults in Ukraine. We ship medications directly to trusted neurologists on the ground, which are then distributed to hospitals and directly into the hands of patients at home. In addition, we supply medical equipment for the treatment of neurological illness, such as EEG machinery, ultrasounds and neurorehabilitation equipment to Ukrainian hospitals and rehabilitation centers around the country. Since the beginning of the war, we have sent over $200,000 in neurology based medication and $300,000 in equipment, with new shipments being sent out regularly.
