Scholarships Empower Ukrainian Nursing Students
BBF Global Relief has given seven students at Sambir Medical College financial assistance to help them pursue degrees in nursing.
After more than two years of providing care during a war, many Ukrainian nurses have experienced burnout from working in hospitals with limited resources. As the demand for nurses heightened, the war’s economic toll on families made it difficult for college students to pay for their expenses.
Sambir Medical College accepted seven students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds into its nursing education program in the fall of 2023. Aid from BBF Global Relief provided the students with laptops for their studies. BBF’s most recent grant, given in January 2024, has helped offset additional expenses as the students continue their education.
Scholarship recipients expressed gratitude for BBF’s support, which, in addition to providing financial support, has also encouraged them to work hard in the nursing program.

“My dream to become a nurse has become possible thanks to Brother’s Brother Foundation’s grant. Now I can afford better accommodations and have more possibilities in my study.
