Update on Response to Earthquake in Morocco

Brother’s Brother Foundation responded to the 6.8-magnitude earthquake that struck outside Marrakesh, Morocco, on Sept. 9 by providing a grant to Life for Relief & Development. The organization used the funding to distribute food packs to 250 families, reaching a total 1,500 people.
The earthquake flattened mud-brick villages, killing over 12,000 people and displacing 500,000 others.
BBF has partnered with LIFE for previous disaster responses, including the earthquakes that killed over 50,000 people in Turkey and northern Syria in February of this year.
