Wildfires continue to ravage communities near Los Angeles, California, with thousands of residents displaced and critical infrastructure impacted. Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) is closely monitoring the situation and working with our partners in California to assess the needs of those affected.

As part of our initial response, BBF is prepared to provide financial support for the purchase of food, water, and other critical supplies. We are also standing by to send additional resources as needs are identified by our partners on the ground.

100% of funds received for BBF’s wildfire response will go directly toward supporting emergency relief efforts and logistics.

California is currently battling multiple major fires. The Palisades fire near the coast has burned approximately 26.9 square miles, while the Eaton fire, north of Pasadena, has scorched 21.4 square miles. In the San Fernando Valley, the Kenneth fire has burned 1.5 square miles. While ferocious, blaze-fanning winds have calmed, the National Weather Service warns they are expected to strengthen this evening, further complicating firefighting efforts.

Nearly 180,000 residents are under evacuation orders, and approximately 400,000 customers statewide are without power, according to PowerOutage.us. These conditions highlight the urgent need for coordinated support and resources to help impacted communities.
