BBF Responds to Los Angeles Wildfires
The wildfires raging near Los Angeles, California, have left a path of destruction and heartbreak in their wake. Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) is closely monitoring the evolving situation and remains in contact with our partners in California to assess the immediate and long-term needs of the impacted communities.
The fires, including the Eaton, Palisades, and Hurst fires, have burned more than 38,000 acres, destroying over 12,000 structures. Fire containment efforts continue, with the Eaton Fire now 33% contained and the Palisades Fire at 14% containment. The Kenneth Fire, which burned more than 1,000 acres, has been fully contained, and the Hurst Fire is 95% contained. Despite progress, officials anticipate further destruction in the days ahead due to changing wind conditions and the sheer scale of the fires.
In response to this crisis, BBF is prepared to provide financial support for the purchase of critical resources such as food, water, and other essential supplies. Our team is working to evaluate the specific needs of affected communities with the help of our partners in California.
100% of the funds received for BBF’s wildfire response will directly support emergency relief and logistics, bringing help where it’s needed most.
