Cleaning Kits Support Haitians Recovering From Back-To-Back Disasters

Recovery efforts continue in Haiti following the severe flash flooding and a 4.9-magnitude earthquake that impacted more than 45,000 families in early June.
Brother’s Brother Foundation responded to the back-to-back disasters with a grant to long-time partner Food For The Poor (FFTP). Each year, BBF sends roughly 50 containers of medical supplies, durable medical equipment and pharmaceuticals to several Latin American countries through FFTP’s distribution network, Haiti included.
Funds will be used to assemble and distribute 144 cleaning kits containing household cleaning supplies placed inside 5-gallon buckets with resealable lids. Each kit includes items such as laundry detergent, scouring pads, work gloves, heavy-duty trash bags, N95 masks, a clothesline and clothespins, air freshener spray, and reusable wipes.
Plans to send a shipment of disaster response supplies to the country are also underway.
