A pharmaceutical donation from BBF Global Relief supported the Mezu International Foundation’s 21st annual mission trip to Nigeria.
BBF provided the organization with over 200 bottles of medication, helping doctors and medical students provide remedies for high blood pressure, dry eye disease, chest pain, and inflammation. The mission trip provided pediatric, cardiology, and optometry services to 1,300 patients.
The Mezu International Foundation strives to empower disadvantaged and low-income communities in the US and Western Africa by promoting education, healthcare, and economic independence. The organization has also established a local medical and eye clinic to ensure continuity of care for patients who receive treatment during the organization’s annual mission trips.
“Thank you so much. May your Foundation continue to help people like us. We truly need and appreciate your care. You treated my diabetes and provided medications, and I am eternally grateful,” said Mr. Akaghara, a patient who attended the clinic.
