Solar Panel Program

Solar Panel Program

Brothers Brother Foundation is committed to providing lasting and sustainable solutions of the highest quality to those in need.

Our initial foray into the world of sustainable, alternative energy was in direct response to a targeted need in Liberia. We began sponsoring the installation of solar panel systems in early 2013. Since then, the Brother's Brother Foundation solar panel program has grown in terms of both size and scope. As of the end of 2019, our team in partnership with Pickering Energy Solutions has provided over 70 medical facilities with solar power systems in Liberia. Through this partnership, we have facilitated on-ground training for these medical facilities in order to improve their capacity for operation and maintenance of solar energy systems.

BBF has also responded to emergency needs in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria by equipping clinics with solar energy. This allows the clinics to provide critical care, even during power outages caused by natural disasters. Through our solar energy program, we promote not only improved energy solutions, but improved healthcare, well-being, and hope.

*All Solar Panel projects for this year have been selected. Please check back in October to see if applications will be taken for next year.
