Supporting Flood Recovery Across Indiana
The storms began August 11, bringing historic flooding, tornadoes, destructive winds, and widespread power outages. At least seven storm-related deaths were reported, while thousands of residents were displaced or left with damaged homes, spoiled food, closed schools, and extended utility outages.
Brother’s Brother Foundation has awarded a grant to Convoy of Hope to support families and communities affected by severe storms and flooding across Indiana.
Convoy of Hope’s Disaster Relief team has been working with local churches and community organizations to distribute food, water, cleaning supplies, and other essential items. To date, the organization has distributed more than 243,000 pounds of relief supplies and served 12,730 people across 10 communities.
Response efforts have reached Anderson, Muncie, New Castle, La Porte, Fishers, Carmel, Portage, Noblesville, Cambridge City, and Indianapolis. Sixteen local churches, organizations, and operational partners have assisted with the response.
BBF grant funds will help Convoy of Hope continue providing essential supplies and support as families address immediate needs and begin the recovery process.
