The Hygiene Kit Assembly Program is a cornerstone of our disaster response and one of the most direct ways volunteers help meet urgent needs when communities are facing crisis. After disasters, conflicts, and other emergencies, access to basic hygiene items is often limited or lost entirely. Each BBF hygiene kit includes essentials like soap, shampoo, and personal care products, items that support health, help prevent disease, and provide a sense of dignity during recovery.

These kits are made possible by volunteers who assemble them in our Pittsburgh warehouse. Individuals, friend groups, corporate teams, school and church groups regularly come together to prepare kits that are shipped to partners responding to emergencies across the U.S. and world.

Whether you’re looking for an individual service opportunity, a family activity, or a group or corporate service project, the Hygiene Kit Assembly Program offers a meaningful way to get involved.
