BBF Supports Medical Mission to Expand Access to Healthcare in Nigeria
Brother’s Brother Foundation recently supported a medical mission to Nigeria by providing surgical instruments for a Mercy Said No outreach that delivered healthcare services to thousands of people living in communities with little or no access to basic medical care.
During the March 2026 mission, Mercy Said No partnered with local sponsors and state government officials in Nigeria to establish temporary clinics in underserved communities. Local partners coordinated clinic sites and community outreach, helping ensure patients who otherwise have limited access to healthcare were able to receive free medical services close to home.
The multidisciplinary volunteer team included physicians, surgeons, ophthalmologists, opticians, dentists, nurses, medical assistants, and non-medical volunteers working together to provide comprehensive care. Brother’s Brother Foundation supported the mission by supplying surgical instruments used during the outreach.
Over the course of the mission, the team provided medical care to approximately 2,200 patients, delivered dental services to 600 individuals, and provided vision care for 1,700 people. In addition, approximately 3,000 community members participated in public health education programs focused on promoting healthier lifestyles and preventing disease. Patients of all ages, from young children to older adults, received care throughout the mission.
