Providing Direct Relief to Families Affected by the Eaton Fire

Flintridge Center3

The Eaton Fire left many families in Pasadena and Altadena struggling to recover, with ongoing needs for housing, food, and essential supplies. In response, BBF has provided a grant to Flintridge Center, a nonprofit organization that has been serving the community since 2007 with programs focused on youth development, workforce training, and reintegration services for formerly incarcerated individuals. With a long-standing commitment to supporting historically marginalized communities, Flintridge Center quickly mobilized to provide relief for those affected by the fire.

In the immediate aftermath, Flintridge Center operated as an essential goods distribution hub for two weeks, providing emergency supplies to more than 1,100 individuals. Their team also delivered necessities to those sheltering across Los Angeles, ensuring that displaced residents had access to food, clothing, and basic health-related items. As recovery efforts continue, the organization has shifted its focus to direct financial assistance, helping community members secure temporary and permanent housing, food support, transportation, and other essential services.

With a focus on addressing systemic inequities, Flintridge Center remains dedicated to ensuring that those most affected by the Eaton Fire receive the resources they need to rebuild their lives. BBF’s support will help sustain a long-term recovery for the Pasadena and Altadena communities.
